June 2024 marked a devastating loss for our community and the whole city. Please support the Rios family as they grieve the unimaginable loss of their only two sons in a senseless killing which took place this past Saturday, June 1st, 2024. In the words of their primo, Ivan Robles:
“Sergio Rios Jr., 33, was a loving son, father, brother, and partner to Mabel Lopez. He is survived by his twin toddlers, Eliana and Alex Rios, who will grow up without their father’s guiding presence. Sergio was a light in every room he entered, a friend anyone could rely on, and the most family-oriented man you could meet. His absence is deeply felt by everyone who knew him. He is also survived by his parents, Amalia and Sergio Rios.
Ricardo Rios, 19, was a sweet, family-oriented young man with many dreams and aspirations. Ricardo loved to Skateboard alongside his brother and together they made life long friendships. He was just beginning to carve out his path in life and had a bright future ahead of him. Ricardo’s dedication to his family and his loving nature were evident in all his actions.”
